The weekly posts turned monthly, but here’s your three idle thoughts for Friday, March 27, 2020.

• A quick survey of the latest FlightRadar24 data from midday today showed that nearly all widebody aircraft flying in the United States seem to be cargo carriers. It truly is a sad time for air travel (among other things).
• It’s a funny day where a circular buffer overflow fails a bunch of otherwise fine enterprise SSD’s.
• As many have pointed out, dogs are otherwise perfectly happy staying indoors for most of the day. We could all learn from dogs for the moment.

There was a reporter, Terry from Dallas Morning News, a while back that coined a column on the airline industry entitled “3 Idle Thoughts for Friday.” I realized I really enjoyed reading those random tidbits that would otherwise not be published in their own post. It’s also a quick an easy way to publish at least something each week, even if it isn’t long form.

Hello world! This is my first post on the platform. This is bound to be a dynamic, free form space, with little expectations. I’m learning as I go, but this is bound to be a good log over time of my thoughts and weird things I observe day to day. I’ll keep things (mostly) anonymous for the sake of wanting this to be not about any individuals or myself in particular, but rather the ideas and trends centered around the stories I tell.
